  • My friends and family and I came just before dusk on a beautiful July evening. The sky was painted in blues, pinks and oranges, which was a perfect backdrop for many pictures with the Major General. This monument is breathtaking and full of rich history.
  • His nickname was "Old Snapping Turtle". Bravely commanded the Army of the Potomac. Another great Civil War monument.
