    My friends and family and I came just before dusk on a beautiful July evening. The sky was painted in blues, pinks and oranges, which was a perfect backdrop for many pictures with the Major General. This monument is breathtaking and full of rich history.

    His nickname was "Old Snapping Turtle". Bravely commanded the Army of the Potomac. Another great Civil War monument.
