  We saw all the surfers running down the rocks in wetsuits ready to catch the bore tide so we stopped and watched them surf. Really a bizarre experience to see such a thing in Alaska - like a weird...  more »

  I find watching the speed and height of the water both exciting and dangerous all at the same time. In a matter of minutes Turnagain Arm is completely fill with water. It is fun watching the number.....  more »

  The most beautiful stretch of road, lots of scenic turn offs and lots of wildlife..

  Most beautiful drive around a scenic bay. When Captain Cook first explored this bay aka Arm, they had to constantly turn the sails left and right ti go straight due to the winds. Hence the name, Turn Again. Bring binoculars so you can see the V shaped valleys formed by snow melt and the U shaped valleys formed by the glaciers.
