Sunlight Mountain Resort, Glenwood Springs

A great "locals" ski resort! My son and I took ski lessons which were fun and exhausting. We were placed in a large group but the four instructors kept it fun and real. From the lesson window, rental store, to the lifts , the staff were helpful and smiling. The place is off the beaten path and the parking lots filled up pretty quick. There are enough slopes that it seemed like the runs were fairly empty. The lines moved quickly if there were any. Family friendly, Awesome staff everywhere and great environment overall. The prices were cheaper than the Fancy resorts nearby. If you enjoy skiing or snowboarding and not needing the frills of stores at the base then this place is a must experience.

Love Sunlight ski resort! We were staying in Aspen but heard such good things about Sunlight we decided to try them out. The price for all things was on point and us being somewhat beginner skiers we wanted something affordable. Right from the start when renting out gear the staff was amazing. They joked and had fun with our whole family and made us feel comfortable as soon as we walked in the door. The staff all around was helpful and friendly. Plenty of seating inside and out. I loved how the locals and the visitor's we're pretty much ready to talk or lend a helping hand when me or my son fell. My husband hung out on deck watching and chatting with the friendlies. The last run of the day I fell wrong and hurt my wrist, hip and knee so had my son go get help since I wasn't able to make it back down the hill. Bobby came to my rescue and helped me onto the sled and safely down the mountain. We will for sure be back and this time we'll stay and play here at Sunlight and highly recommend.
