Staff was friendly, atmosphere was cozy, welcoming, and clean. The artifacts were interesting, and the displays grab your attention throughout the museum, so you're being drawn in to want to learn what you're looking at.... simple way to educate curious teenagers on the history of the town. I am happy I brought the kids there!

I went here today mostly out of curiosity. I didn't know the last and largest calvary battle of the revolutionary war happened in Gloucester, Virginia. The battle involved the British colonel Tarleton. The same on in the Movie THE PATRIOT. The stairs going up to the second floor is quite steep but we'll worth the climb.
