The North Shore Art Association of East Gloucester, Massachusetts is one of the oldest art associations in the United States. Founded in 1922, it was the gathering place of some of the great American artists of the 20th century.

Childe Hassam, Emile Gruppe, Paul Strisik, Fredrick Mulhaupt, Winslow Homer and many others were early members of the NSAA. Other members include Louise Herreshoff.

  • The North Shore Arts Association building is a large gallery that features rotating exhibits of works by its 600 members. We enjoyed walking through the two floors of paintings, drawings, and prints.....  more »
  • NSAA is an historic association of Cape Ann artists housed in a vintage building well modified for displaying art, virtually all of which is for sale. Stop in: parking is free and available.  more »

  • One of the most vibrant art groups and display spaces in New England. Art workshops, demonstrations, exhibitions, retrospectives, talks and special events held here. October 2018 they hosted the Cape Ann Plein Air exhibit.
