Gnadenhutten, Ohio’s oldest existing settlement, is a nice village but the 1782 Massacre was one of the darkest days in Ohio's history. Small museum was closed when I visited but was able to look... more »

What a great unexpected stop on our little Sunday drive. The museum was closed but we enjoyed walking around the grounds where we saw a lot of history and learned about the unfortunate and heartbreaking events that took place so long ago on the site. I sat on a bench for a long time and could feel the long lasting imprint a site like this has emotionally. I highly recommend this historic park as a stop.
