  • The Buffalo Bill museum is a great place to learn about the history of William F. Cody. Pioneer, frontiersman, buffalo hunter, and metal of honor recipient of the US Army. But he is best known for the creation of his wild west show. A traveling circus like performance that included sharp shooting acts and reenactments of other episodic events that occurred during Cody's youth. The museum is filled with historic photographs and other memorabilia that shine a light on what life was like back in the late 1800s. Along with the museum is a gift shop, a small cafĂ© to grab a quick bite to eat and small walk from the parking lot is the grave site of Mr Cody and his wife. If you're lucky, you'll be able to hear a tale of how and why the grave was placed on this spot and all the controversy surrounding it. The museum volunteer did a wonderful job of engaging a captive audience with the time of how Cody's body was stolen from the mortuary and taken across state lines. The museum is next to a very scenic park on top of Lookout Mountain with overviews of Golden, Denver, and beyond
  • Brought my 8 year old Son here and we absolutely enjoyed it! Simple, yet loaded with cool history about Buffalo Bill and his journey. The grave is up on an awesome hilltop. $5 to tour the museum and the gift shop was also really cool, with very reasonable pricing. Highly recommend a visit here!
