  • Well laid out and very informative. Takes about an hour casually or 2 hours in depth. Either way you come out with more knowledge then you had going in …. and the learning is enjoyable.

  • This was a phenomenal museum. A hidden gem that is part of the School of Mining. Very well displayed collection of minerals, crystals, gold and metals, fossils and even a moon rock. This place was amazing and very educational. It also tells the history of mining in Colorado. Definitely make this a priority destination if you are in Golden. The exhibits were so vast and laid out by countries so the rare specimens were highlighted. A true delight. We took 2 hours and a still could have used more time. Very interesting fracking exhibit.
  • Lovely visit to the museum, it is free to enter! Learned a lot here- two floors full of knowledge! As it is a museum for the University, it is not geared towards young children (not much interactivity, more focused on displaying), but I saw children appreciating the rocks. For new and returning visitors, looking at these rocks and minerals is timeless!
