  • Lots of graffiti but very cool. Loved stopping here...great views. We didn't walk down to the beach on the very steep stairs because of time, but it looked amazing as well!

  • A turnout off of southbound 101 located approximately 2 miles north of Refugio State beach. This is a lovely vista with sweeping views of the Pacific. Perfect spot to explore or just enjoy the view...

  • Decent spot to spend the night in an RV or van if need be. I stayed two nights. Lots of traffic, but actually a friendly crowd mostly trying to take photos of sunrise and sunset as well as hike down to see the old bridges, hike down to the beach (spectacular beach), or go fishing. Also a lot of trucks which were loud. There is a strong smell of urine in many spots, so choose carefully. Great view of the ocean, saw dolphins several times a day.
  • I stayed here on a Saturday night over a holiday weekend, got there around 6pm and it was already pretty crowded, but I was able to get a spot. By dark, it was pretty packed. It’s located right near the freeway, so the sound of traffic was present, and lots of traffic pulling on and off the ramp all night. It’s definitely a good place for car/trailer/van/camper camping (not tent camping). No amenities at all at the site. There are beautiful views (sunset and sunrise) and a bridge and train tracks for amazing pictures. I didn’t go down, but there is beach access through a little trail, looked steep. Considering it’s free, I would 100% stay again!
