  • We did a 3 hour shelling and dolphin tour. The boat is comfortable, they don’t overcrowd it with people, and the captain, Jonallen, was great. We got to see the Romano Island dome house ruins, which are really cool. Then we headed over to shell island. We filled a bucket with conchs, banded tulips, sharks eyes, lightning whelks, baby horse conchs (we didn’t find any large ones that day), olives, trochus, and more very desirable shells. I even found 2 rare alphabet cones. After shell island we drove around a little more and looked for dolphins. We lucked out and got a magnificent show from a couple of dolphins trailing the wake of the boat. I highly recommend this tour, and we can’t wait to do it again.
  • We went out today for a girls trip and got captain joe on our boat. We really had a good time. We started out with some interesting weather. A fog came over the whole gulf. It was eerie but very cool. Captain joe continuously shared facts with us to make the trip interesting. Shell island was really cool. We all found some really cool shells but not the treasured one we wanted. We drove around trying to get some dolphin action but we only saw a couple swimming. It was still a good time. The only wish we had was if we had more time to spend at the island.
