The latest in a growing list of tourist attractions is Granbury, Texas is a modern doll museum called The Granbury Doll House. Located in the historic district right off the square,the new museum features a variety of exhibits that include celebrity dolls, dolls from many countries,baby dolls, bride dolls,dolls depicting religion leaders, Madame Alexander dolls, and other special displays.Everyone who loves dolls will find something in the new museum that will bring back a memory or create new ones.

The museum will have its grand opening on December 8, 2012 ,after its preview as part of the annual Granbury Tour of Homes that begins on November 30 and runs through December 3. After the grand opening on the next weekend,the museum will be open on Fridays and Saturdays from 1:00 to 6:00 and on Sundays from 1:00 to 5:00. Private tours are also available by calling (817)-894-5194.

  • The lady in the home said she and her sister started it, and went from 600 to 6000+ dolls! They range from all over the past decades, almost any doll ever made seems like. Definitely interesting and.....  more »
  • Definitely an interesting place, they have old action figures and international figurines as well, not just Madame Alexander type stuff. Not a go out of your way type thing, but an interesting enough roadside stop. Docked one star because it said they opened at ten, but we waited around for half an hour before heading back to the car parked a block away, drove by on our way out just before 11, and they were open then.
