Bright Angel Trail begins at Grand Canyon Village and descends 1,335 m (4,380 ft) to the canyon floor. You can follow the trail another 3.2 km (2 mi) to the Bright Angel campground and Phantom Ranch. The path is the main trail used by hikers and mules on their journey through the Grand Canyon to the campground. During high season, the trail can be crowded, but adopt a slow pace to enjoy the views on the way down. Wear footgear with sturdy grips and bring plenty of water. You can stock up on supplies at the visitor center at the top of the plateau before heading down to the canyon floor. Amazing view point and an awesome trail to hike down. One of the world wonders Grand Canyon is best accessed from this trail head. Stunning overhead views, awesome signs showing the geological age of this canyon and lovely trail to hike down. Located right behind the Bright Angel lodge, this trail head has rest rooms, water fountains, vending machines and decent parking spots. Grand Canyon park shuttle station is right next to this trail. Very well laid out walking trails from here takes you all the way up to Hermits rest and also down to Colorado river via Indian gardens.

Great trail for heading into the Grand Canyon. It is well maintained. It is sunny, so can be hot. Most people turn around pretty close to the top, so that part is busy. Have hiked the trail to the bottom, but this time just a small section. Saw some adventurous mountain goats too.
