Fonner Park is a thoroughbred horse racing facility located in Grand Island, Nebraska. Co-located with Eihusen Arena and the grounds of the Nebraska State Fair, it is named after its original land owner August L. Fonner, and first held races in 1954.

  • We met our adult children here for a day of family fun. We purchased tables in the skyline level ($20 for a table for four), which gave us a server for our beverages. We were very surprised that the.....  more »

  • The State Fair was awesome this year, better than previous years. Food stands, exhibits, live shows, livestock judging, all the friendly, courteous, helpful volunteer staff were superb. The fairgrounds were clean and kept free of debris. Security was clearly present throughout the entire area. Yes... I clearly judge the 2019 Nebraska State Fair "BEST IN SHOW...HANDS DOWN"!!
  • Loved it. Even though it had rained and everything soaked, the show went on. The staff mostly made up of volunteers were very friendly. Our shuttle drivers were too notch a d respectful. All around good job, Grand Island! You do our state proud!!
