Blandford Nature Center, Grand Rapids

I grew up in Michigan and this place has always held a special place for me. It’s changed over the years. On my recent visit I saw their new welcome center. The improvements are amazing but with improvements come cost. There’s a small fee to get into the center, I didn’t pay it. I walked the trails and stumbled across some great outbuildings and updated educational areas. Really think kids would benefit from a school trip here. An old schoolhouse, farm, deer, rustic house and other great things to see near the center.

A great place to connect with nature near the heart of downtown Grand Rapids. Blandford Nature Center has a lot to offer for those wanting a nice walk through the woods, although be cautious in the winter if it is icy. Great to see interesting exhibits like the raptors next to the rabbit and the sugar boiling house. Great attraction for kids and adults alike.
