  • There isn't a whole lot of artwork to see, so I wouldn't pay $10 to visit. But if you have some time to kill on one of the free days (Tuesday and Thursday) I would check it out. It is 3 floors but...

  • We absolutely loved this museum! A lot of the artwork had the meaning and/or history behind it and we enjoyed learning about the different pieces. All staff were pleasant except one girl was a bit...

  • I visited on a Saturday with my family, including toddler niece. Children are welcome, including a reading space with books for kids. Plenty of room to navigate with a stroller, as well as elevator access to all exhibits. I loved the art; this is my third or fourth visit, and there is always something fresh to see with their rotating exhibits. The upper level of permanent collection is varied across time and style, giving a good survey of art. Several arresting pieces inspired my own art journey.
  • The Grand rapids art museum was surprisingly nice. It has an extensive array of art. It has a lovely layout and modern feel. It's pieces range from hundreds of years ago to quite recent. I would not recommend it for a typical child or group of children. But it would be lovely for a group of friends or a date night. The staff is nice, the energy is calm, and the art is comparable to that of larger city art museums, though I'll admit the collection is smaller.
