  • We last did this drive & hike in 2016 and we drove in an Audi A4 Avant. All the recommendations for travel now suggest a high-clearance all wheel drive. So I don't know if the road has changed or not....  more »
  • I hike this trail in 2010, previous to the fire damage that occurred in 2013 and found the place to be magnificent. That is all now changed due to major fire damage. The effects of fire damage on...  more »
  • Located in a very remote area of the park. 4x4 & high clearance required, & the road may be washed out in various places making for a longer hike. The wash can be followed all the way to the arch if you can't find the trail. If you're there at the right time, you can chill on the bench & catch the sun descending through the arch.
