  • Tough hike even though the round trip is less than 3 miles. Very good description of trail in the review preceding mine. Agree that this hike is not for kids under the age of 10. Even if you are...

  • Visited this waterfall with 3 kids (ages 4, 13, 16). This is not a kid-friendly trail for little ones. Parking is a nightmare because it’s with rainbow falls and grotto falls parking. Get there...

  • An excellent trail for a well hiked family. Just the right amount of hiking and elevation for a 1/2 day trek (including the time for the kids to play around the waterfall and have a leisurely lunch in a well shaded part of the trail). You’ll descend 90% of the entry. Fun rock scramble as you approach the falls. Big burn on the way back as you ascend continuously.
  • Baskins Creek Trail & Falls was AMAZING! I got tons of beautiful photos. We saw a mama bear and cub just off the roaring fork motorway headed in and we spotted so many different & new sightings for us of flowers, fungi, butterflies & reptiles (also a caterpillar and a turkey). This trail is pretty easy but on the way back it sucks a bit..but this made it really worth it in addition to the beautiful views and the waterfall!
