  • One of my favorite VA State Parks. Campground is very small and sites are close together, but it's close to Farmville and some of the best Bass fishing in the state. Fishing at the park is also pretty good and despite the campground being so small, it's one of the quietest I've ever stayed at.
  • Highly recommend. Great Virginia State Park! The bathrooms are always clean enough, ditto with showers. The food, ice cream, store, and swimming rates are extremely reasonable. The lifeguards always do an excellent job keeping children safe on the various water structures. Water is nice; bring water shoes to avoid stepping on tiny rocks/pebbles. The sandy area works well for a beach tent for shade - there is very little natural shade on the sand area. It can get busy! There‚Äôs also a large playground and several picnic tables. Parking is right near the beach. Perfect day trip!
