  • A nice state park with a small lake. There is a recently updated campground and a new visitor center. There is a swimming area with a bathhouse and snack bar open during the summer. There is a hiking trail that circles the lake. The spillway area is pretty offering a waterfall cascade over large boulders and rock shelves. A mountain bike trail was also recently constructed.
  • Took a group of cub scouts on a day hike around the lake. The trail was clean and well marked. At the end of the hike several of the scouts enjoyed the swimming area, which has a life guard on duty. They also have concession stand and boat rentals. The campsites were nice but full. I look forward to spending more time here.
