  • It is definitely a place to go and check out. I only had time to go through the carriage museum but definitely want to go back to do the hole thing. There is so much more to see. They also have a nice gift shop people working there were very friendly.
  • Tips: 1. The first rides out to the Wade house don't leave for an hour after opening time on weekends. You can walk to the house, but it's a 15 minute walk and tours don't start until 11:15 anyway. 2. The Cafe is closed. You can buy junk food for a few bucks, but it's not a meal. 3. Don't let the not-so-friendly guy at the visitor center scare you off with his pronouns. The staff at the Wade house, blacksmith, sawmill, are all fantastic. Wade house staff have lots of knowledge to share, and really seem to love what they do! They have sheep out in the pasture who are all very friendly. If you stand by the fence, they'll come over to say hi! Our family spent about 4 hours there, but it may have been shorter if the transportation was running before 11am.
