The park itself if very beautiful with lots of trees and shade to cool off in. The pond and swimming area is small and not very deep but it's quaint and nice! While I didn't personally go kayaking, I saw some others who were and it looked like a nice area for other water activities aside from swimming. I went for the 4th of July so of course it was packed, but I can see this place being a very relaxed and quiet experience when it's not a holiday.

Very nice place! Good for bike riding, jogging and just chilling. It has a public restroom, tables, beautiful pond. I saw wooden cabins, so I guess you can rent it for camping. Overall very nice! Check it out if you're in the area.
