  I was completely surprised by the amount of artifacts and the detail paid to exhibits in this museum located on a small island! The docents were kind and full of first rate knowledge. I appreciate.....  more »

  Mathews is a very small county and Gwynn's Island is a small portion of the county, but we sure have an interesting museum! Met visiting cousins there and even though the 10 year old was dressed and ready for the pool, she and her 15 year old cousin were reluctant to leave. Something for all ages, nice all volunteer staff and a good variety of items for sale (books, tees, hats, ornaments, etc).
