Create an itinerary including Hackberry General Store
Take a step back in time at Hackberry General Store, a former gas station that represents one of the most iconic stops along the famous highway Route 66. Stop by the store on your drive and admire its extensive collection of nostalgia, ranging from old billboards and advertisements to gas pumps and storefront items. Wander the grounds to seeĀ a quintessential slice of the famous highway, keeping an eye open for rusting hulks of classic muscle cars and other equipment. Grab a deliberately kitschy souvenir from the store's offerings, many of which feature replicas of its displays outside. Use our Hackberry trip planner to visit Hackberry General Store on your trip to Hackberry, and learn what else travelers and our writers recommend seeing nearby.

  • Located on Historic Route 66 about 23 mi/37 km northeast of Kingman and about 60 mi/97 km west of Seligman, the Hackberry General Store is just the kind of isolated, interesting and unique sight you.....  more

  • funny place !!! I guess, the chief is still looking for my return !!!
  • Spend time there, and try to look at everything on the walls and everything displayed. The owner Amy, is magnificent and knows her stuff about the history of that building. Do your homework before you go, so you understand that part of Route 66 and that store and how it plays into the history of the area. #templemastery
