The American Bald Eagle Foundation is natural history museum and raptor center.. It is located in beautiful Haines, Alaska, home of the largest concentration of bald eagles in the world.

We have an interpretive wildlife display and raptor center with educational programming daily in the summer.

Founded by Dave Olerud the American Bald Eagle Foundation is a non-profit 501 (c)(3) educational foundation dedicated to the protection and preservation of bald eagle habitat through sponsoring and facilitating educational and research activities.

  • Very interesting place to visit and well worth supporting. That have a small sanctuary Nd also a local wild life museum.
  • The museum was excellent but the bird displays were poor. The birds were in dark cages (understandable) but the public is restricted to a boardwalk which is set back feet from the cages so it's impossible to see the birds in the cages. What's the point?
