Haines Brewing Company, Haines

While the beers were well-brewed and delicious, the owner clearly lacked an appreciation for his customers and was not interested in providing a customer service experience. He was particularly unpleasant and inattentive, so we chose to explore elsewhere. Also, they have odd hours (closing before 7 PM on a Friday) and didn't accept credit/debit cards (cash only). We find the latter considerably inconvenient as Haines is located a short distance from the Canadian border and receives regular foreign cruise ship visitors. It seems like a change is needed for their customer-facing employees.

We went here strictly for Sitka Spruce Tip Beer. It was delicious! A nice roomy brewery with seating and good conversation with other cruisers in Haines. Also the brewmaster was good to talk with about different beers. A cool experience at a clean brewery with good beer at fair prices. We hope to return next year too!
