Poplar Beach Reviews
We enjoyed walking along the beach, with our adult kids and grandog, smelling the ocean, hearing the waves crash into the shore, picking up beach treasures and enjoying nature. more »
It is a good place for some time alone on the beach as not many people go down there but sometimes tough to find a parking spot. Quite safe place to leave the cars and just off the freeway with lifeguards patrol the beach is a plus. Some like to surf at the spot and if you are lucky, you may spot some wales.
Great beach in Half Moon Bay. Not nearly as crowded as State Beach. Easy parking, though people struggled to use the pay station so the line was long. Path down to the beach is pretty steep. It's not stairs but those with mobility issues would likely still struggle with the path as it's also quite rocky and a bit slippery. Watch out for horse poop! Beach is also dog friendly which made for fun entertainment. Port-a-potties in the parking lot.
