    Enjoyed seeing the fort & was fascinated by the moat that surrounded it. Fun seeing the Cub Scouts & their leaders there learning about the history.

    Excellent 565acre island! A sand beach that allows dogs. Historical significance abounds. Beautiful mansions and the Deadrise Restaurant is superb! Great Calamari, flounder, shrimp well really the whole menu is incredibly good.

    Fort Monroe is the best. Beautiful, peaceful, and just downright amazing. If you've never been and you like the outdoors without many distractions like stores and entertainment, do yourself a favor - pack a picnic and go check it out.
