An oasis for native plant and animal life, showcases native plants and trees plus those uncommon to Hawaii, such as rare Amazon fruits, medicinal species, endangered hardwoods, and exotic nut trees. You'll have the chance to feed ducks in the duck pond, see the peacocks strut through the gardens, and view hundreds of lowland rainforest species of flowers and shrubs. Walk along well-maintained gravel trails throughout the garden, where you can stop and take pictures with waterfalls as your backdrop. Please note that there is no direct access to the nearby waterfall or pools from the garden. Kudos to the family that has out this place together over last century. Total labor of love. Neatly built with rugged rainforest look maintained. Few great observation points. Some features inside were less exciting than expected (ancient foundation stones, banana patch, enchanted forest etc.). It's worth the visit first time around and that's it. Be mindful of the peacocks.
The Garden of Eden is beautiful. Lots of different plants and lookout spots. They have 3 parking lots with a few places to grab a drink or snack along the way. They do have bathrooms for guest. Make sure you bring some mosquito repellent. The reason it scored a 4 out 5 is because they charge you 15 bucks per person for such a short little visit. The next arboretum is free so if you want to save money wait for the next option.
