Open seasonally May through October, the Hollenberg Station is situated along the Oregon and California trails. It provided a way-station for hundreds of pioneers on their way west, and also acted as a relay station for the short-lived Pony Express. The building still stands on its original foundation and, along with the visitor center, tells the stories of the Hollenbergs, pioneer life, and the Pony Express.

  • Nice short stop. The walk to the old house and wagon stop was beautiful. So calm and peaceful walking thru the native grasses on the well mown path. So worth the time to see.
