Mennonite Heritage Center, Harleysville

#149 of 233 in Historic Sites in Pennsylvania
Historic Site · Hidden Gem · Educational Site
For 43 years the Mennonite Heritage Center has presented the fall Apple Butter Frolic. Once held at a farm in Lower Salford Township, the event now takes place on the Heritage Center's 12-acre campus on Yoder Road in Harleysville PA. There are farming demonstrations, kids activities, trade and home craft demonstrators, and of course, great PA Dutch food like home made scrapple!. There is even an old fashioned apple recipe bake-off. Programs on Mennonite and local history are also held inside the Center. The event is rain or shine. Always the first Saturday in October!

  • Much help was given when I was stuck and frustrated on the Funk family research. The both gentlemen were kind and professional.
