National Civil War Museum reviews
This was a wonderful museum. We have been to Gettysburg and others. It is a beautiful spot high up on a hill overlooking the capital city.

I loved this museum! In addition to all of the weapons and uniforms on display, I enjoyed listening to common bugle calls. They do a good job covering the cause and course of the war. The selection of books in the gift shop is fantastic! It took a great deal of restraint to keep from leaving with my arms full.
This was truly an incredible experience here at this war museum! I know there's a lot of mixed emotion about it all, but the stories here and exhibits are outstanding! The staff is all very friendly and welcoming and you will learn a ton about everything involved in the war. It's a great place to bring our older kids who had a better time than they initially thought they would lol. Worth the time on an afternoon for sure!
