What's great: Lovely natural waters. Real Florida, near by restaurant "The Yearling" Adequate parking and picnic tables. Concrete boat launch. Plenty of wildlife. Now what's "Not so great", No bathrooms or out houses! There's a lot of larger boat traffic. Because of this the water at the boat launch water is filthy. Be careful for fishing line and fishing lures. I came back from kayaking with a lure stuck in my armpit. There's a lot of lures and fishing line floating in the water and stuck in the trees, which is dangerous too wildlife.

This is a great day trip. We took our time and enjoyed the whole area. Nice walking trails all level and in the shade; nice surprise. Tours were available and needed to go into the house. $3 per group in one vehicle to enter park. Honor box to pay the fee; correct change is needed. The farmhouse tour fee is $3 per adult and $2 per child. Hours 9 to 5. It is perfect for kids and all accessible for any age. Plenty of benches and picnic tables. Great restaurant “The Yearling” just up the road well worth the stop.
