The Yonah Trail is challenging in that it is gradual incline almost the entire way. The hiking poles came in handy. At times the trail is wide and smooth, but a lot of the trail is narrow and rocky. T... more »
Very friendly hosts, easy to find, SUPER close to Mount Yonah but it's really noisy so if you're looking for that peaceful getaway you probably want to look elsewhere. Road noise, sirens but the worst is the dogs at the nearby trailer park barking nonstop - SERIOUSLY ALL NIGHT LONG, ALL MORNING, ALL DAY. It's maddening. Even wearing earplugs we couldn't sleep.
Location convenient to Cleveland and Helen, GA. Friendly, helpful hosts. Rating is only 3 stars due to unlevel campsites, interior road conditions, closed laundry facility and absence of paved pads for picnic table/chairs. Nicely landscaped with lots of flowers. If you have children, there's a really nice playground area at the front of the campground. Campground also has a large community room where folks have been meeting to play dominos in the evening. Beautiful area, would camp here again.
