  • This is a beautiful park to visit. I had the opportunity to rent a horse at Chickasaw Riding Stables which is located inside the park. The guided trail ride was wonderful. The guide was great and.....  more »
  • This park is little tricky to get around based on the signage. But if you are a day tripper the parking lot and place to start is to the left of the park office. There is a bridge over the lake and...  more »

  • This was a really nice campsite, the sites were well spaced, there was a fire pit, picnic table and water for each site. The bathrooms and showers were placed central to all the sites. We were lucky and there was only two other campers (On a Mon) so we pretty much had the place to ourselves. there were so many little frogs too! They were so cute! They were everywhere, you could pick them up and look at them, they were the size of a fingernail. There was hiking trails close by and a short trek to the swimming hole. The swimming area was disgusting. The water was hot even when we were neck deep. There was no relief from the summer heat by swimming here. And the water was filthy, all the fine hairs all over my body, were coated in the fine mud from the water accentuating my hairs. On my chest, belly, legs and toes.. I looked like a hairy beast! After we left the water and started to dry off we smelled like mildewy pond water. So, if you plan to swim bring extra towels and swimsuits as you won’t want to use it twice.
  • The renovation is nice, however.... Signage could use some improvement. Once there, there are no signs to tell you which way the sites are numbered especial where the road splits. The lower sites are very level, however the upper ones aren't even close to level. It is nice, quiet, clean, and peaceful. Upper bathhouse not open yet and no indication of this upon reserving a site.
