Hershey’s Chocolate World is the name of eight visitor centers that started in Hershey, Pennsylvania, United States. Open year-round, Hershey's Chocolate World offers marketplace shops and restaurants, specializing in Hershey's chocolate products. Attractions include Hershey's Great Chocolate Factory Mystery in 4D, the Hershey Trolley Works, Create Your Own Candy Bar, Hershey’s Unwrapped, and a free Chocolate Tour ride.To visit Hershey's Chocolate World on your holiday in Hershey, and find out what else Hershey has to offer, use our Hershey.
The first Hershey's Chocolate World is located off of Hersheypark Drive, in Hershey, Pennsylvania, and is in an entertainment complex that also includes Hersheypark, Hersheypark Stadium, Hersheypark Arena, Hershey Museum, and Giant Center. The Las Vegas location is where the Broadway Theatre used to be.
Although Hersheypark and Chocolate World are in the same complex, both operate independently of each other. Chocolate World is owned by The Hershey Company (formerly Hershey Foods), while Hersheypark is owned by Hershey Entertainment and Resorts Company (HE&R). However, the Hershey Company and HE&R are both owned by the Hershey Trust Company.
Parking is available via a separate lot that is free for the first three hours only, or via the Hersheypark parking lot (when the park is open), which offers a tram service to and from Hershey's Chocolate World. While the facility is open year-round (except Christmas), hours vary depending on the season, ranging anywhere from 9 am to 11 pm.
Hershey's Chocolate World reviews
We visited not knowing exactly what to expect, and it was an experience. Very very busy and interesting. We got a lot of goodies to take back home for gifts and enjoyed this place very much. Thank.... more »
I loved watching the staff assembling the chocolate replica of Milton Hershey's mansion completely out of chocolate. I even used a christmas backdrop on my online Christmas card. more »
Chocolate world is a great place to take pictures and buy souvenirs to remember your time going to Hershey park. Their milkshakes are the best. One thing that’s bad though is the ride. Growing up in the Hershey area, going to chocolate world was a lot of fun. My favorite part was the ride. Seeing how the ride has changed over time, I feel like it has only gotten worse. The whole purpose of the ride was to give the community the real feel of how chocolate is made. Although now everything is just electronically shown and it has lost its real feel. Not to mention you have to walk so much extra to get to the entrance now when it was fine before. The Mr cow that took your picture was always fun for children but now he’s taken out. Also one thing that I do not like is the ending where it used to play music and have the little Elvis go across the screen and other throngs about chocolate world. Although it’s nice to show families enjoying their time there now, honestly people do not really care too much because it’s not them or someone significant. I guess to end my rant the ride was better before they switched it all up.
Love this place. Would visit many times, again. Love making my personalized chocolate bar. Love the chocolate tour. Loved all the 4-5 activities there were to do here. Also, We purchased great keepsakes and treats for relatives. Great job guys!
