Bell Mountain, Hiawassee

An amazing place to visit. The drive is a little nauseous and you might need to be careful while driving the last bit of it. Most people park below at the first parking but if you feel comfortable or you have a 4x4 you can go right at the top and don’t have to walk. The views are magnificent no matter what time of the year.

This beautiful overlook is well worth the drive. Just beware of busy weekends and holidays when parking is at a premium and narrow roads make passing difficult and waiting nearly impossible. The lower lot has a sign that warns you to proceed at your own risk. But don’t be discouraged. There’s enough room for a dozen or more cars and room to turn around if there’s no space.
