High Point Museum, High Point

We had a great visit this afternoon at the High Point Museum - lots of interesting exhibits, artifacts and information! The small, historic park adjacent to the museum has renovated or reconstructed colonial architecture filled with period pieces which “come to life” through staff interpreters on weekends. The museum itself houses amazing exhibits which showcase the history of the area as well as the community’s roots in the furniture business known in the region. Visitors with children will be amazed with the room of miniature vignette displays created by a local artisan who generously donated her work for the public to enjoy. Check it out - you’ll be glad you did!

We got a chance to stop by the museum on Saturday and we had an absolute blast! The museum is smaller, but what they do have is exceptional. We got to learn all about High Point's furniture industry and its general history. The area outside is also very nice and historical. The staff is also very friendly and helpful! I would definitely recommend this museum to anyone who is in the area.
