Jackson Bottom Wetlands Preserve in Hillsboro, Oregon, United States, is a 635-acre (257 ha) wetlands area along the Tualatin River in Washington County, Oregon. Located on the south end of the city along Highway 219, this lowland area is a designated Important Bird Area and hosts such birds as buffleheads, dusky Canada geese, and tundra swans.

    Even on a cool, misty December day, it is refreshing to take a walk at Jackson Bottom. There will always be things to see, and you will feel that you are miles away from any city. The Visitor Center.....  more »

    Lots of trails to take, well maintained. Don't come here hoping for a good hike as little effort is required. There were places to bird watch, so for some this may be a 5. If you like this place...  more »

    Great place to walk and enjoy the outdoors! The paths are clearly marked and lots of scenery to see. When we went they closed some of the travels to work on them which was fine but looking forward to exploring the rest of the park. The museum area is small but informative. I really enjoyed being able to see what an actual Bald Eagles nest looks like. I definitely learned a lot from visiting.

    I can tell this is a great place in spring and fall. Was too warm the day i went. But we did see over 150 pelicans and 75+ egrets at Pintail.
