Visit Wiluku River State Park to witness Rainbow Falls, the 24 m (80 ft) waterfalls famous for the magnificent rainbows that shine through their mist. These falls, know to locals by their Hawaiian name, Waianuenue, rush down over a lava cave, which is considered to be the home of the ancient Hawaiian goddess Hina. At the foot of the falls, wild ginger and monstera plants surround a large pool. Naturally, the rainbows are especially strong after a rainstorm. See Rainbow Falls and all Hilo has to offer by arranging your trip with our Hilo trip maker.

  • This state park is about a mile south from downtown Hilo, it is walkable. I visited it earlier in the morning so not busy, and the views lived up to its name. It was a nice quick stop.

  • NATURALLY BEAUTIFUL!!! Awesome site to behold in an unusual place. Worth going for some pics. Ensure you climb upon the incline to get the best pics. Most people over look that.
