  • We had a wonderful time at both the Walking & Driving areas of the Preserve. If you're not staying at Sea Pines or have a pass already, you will need to purchase one. The day pass was $9.00. The trails on the walking areas were well maintained and marked. The Rice Field Boardwalk was just teeming with wildlife. The Vanishing Swamp boardwalk didn't have much wildlife, but the foliage was gorgeous. The driving area was beautiful with the ponds and wildflower area. Very narrow roadway. Overall a very lovely, well maintained preserve.
  • Really pretty location. Lots of easy trails to hike on for hours. We were here in the winter time, so we didn't see too many animals. I'd say the most lacking thing is the restrooms, there just weren't enough of them for the size of the park.
