Stop and smell the Gouda cheese at Nelis' Dutch Village, which brings to life the olden days of the Netherlands. Built according to typical Dutch architecture with a network of canals, the village provides insight into what life was like in an earlier time in the lowlands country. Try some clogs on for size (you can watch them being made at the wooden shoe factory) or take part in a traditional Dutch klompen dancing lesson. You'll have the opportunity to watch a demonstration on the making of Delft blue pottery, and learn about cheesemaking with the chance to sample some delicious Dutch cheeses. You can dress up in Dutch costumes in the Kolean museum and enjoy a ride on the windmill-themed Ferris wheel. So cute for kids. It feels like you are in a small Dutch village. You only need about an hour or two. Good snacks and drinks.

It’s a must visit place accordingly to me if you are visiting Holland MI. Kids will love this place. My daughter simply loves this place. Pros: * Decent entry fees(They provided free pass for the next visit too as we entered the village 3 hours before the closing time) * Unlimited rides * kids friendly. You can say it’s a paradise for kids. * So many activities to do. * Dutch style buildings and staff with Dutch costumes give you pure Dutch feel.

Fun but definitely tourist-y destination in Holland exploring the area's Dutch roots and ancestry. Lots of fun activities, exhibits, dances, and animals for little ones to play with and enjoy. Knowledgeable and friendly staff who love showing off their exhibits. Very walkable and a great place to spend an afternoon.
