Stop and smell the Gouda cheese at Nelis' Dutch Village, which brings to life the olden days of the Netherlands. Built according to typical Dutch architecture with a network of canals, the village provides insight into what life was like in an earlier time in the lowlands country. Try some clogs on for size (you can watch them being made at the wooden shoe factory) or take part in a traditional Dutch klompen dancing lesson. You'll have the opportunity to watch a demonstration on the making of Delft blue pottery, and learn about cheesemaking with the chance to sample some delicious Dutch cheeses. You can dress up in Dutch costumes in the Kolean museum and enjoy a ride on the windmill-themed Ferris wheel. • We stopped here during the tulip festival. There are interesting buildings and shops. There are goats, ducks, etc . for the kids. There's also a merry-go-round.

  • The millions of tulips were worth the trip. Tulips are my favorite flower so I was like a kid in a candy store. If you are interested in buying or ordering tulips, the setup is quite convenient...

  • It's an amazing spot. Makes you feel as if you left the country. The people working there are all super nice. Seeing the traditional Dutch costumes, woodworking and culture is really neat. They also have a barn with some animals the kids of all ages can pet. All animals look VERY well taken care of. The stores offer a huge variety of hand made items. If you're ever in Holland, MI, this is a MUST SEE!
  • Friendly staff, cute little shops with authentic items. This is my 3rd visit and we will continue to come back and refer friends and family. Fun things for the kids to do. Once summer comes they have the dutch dancers perform which is fun and more engaging. Cute little village to check out when in town.
