  • I think, as well as the USS Arizona Memorial that absolute point should go Japanese. Proof of the scars of war and peace as well as exhibits on board.

  • The memorial is very interesting for young and old, but not overly "exciting". Suitable for it's purpose. It helps you with perspective and the impact on lives, especially at the time. Some nice war a...  more »
  • It's a must see location. Arrive early, it's a day trip if not more than one day, therefore take your walking shoes. There is lots to see. Staff are excellent. Usual USA hospitality. It was an extremely interesting and emotionally moving tour. It's been many years since we visited hence I can't write too much detail however my memories of the day will never be forgotten. We still have our souvenir photo (in the style of a 1940s newspaper front page) which was taken in front of the submarine, still on our wall at home. If you have not been and plan to visit Hawaii, ensure to visit this place!
  • So so amazing. Very huge history. Tour guide was very well versed in the history of the Missouri. We enjoyed seeing the whole battleship. Everything at Pearl Harbor is privately funded so give generously to keep this going. All the sites are steeped in history and it is very emotional to see all the loss.
  • We took the short guided tour and enjoyed learning more about the history of the ship We also went below deck and toured the ship. There is a mix of museum galleries as well as areas of the ship you can walk through. It gives a good sense of how crew members lived and worked there. We spent about 2 hours there and could have probably spent another hour more.
  • Wow, such a great experience. You get to walk around and see a lot of parts of the ship. The short guided tour was also really good and gives you some interesting facts and history. Definitely worth the price! PS: Park and buy tickets at the main pearl harbor visitor center. You will then ride a bus to the ship.
  • I have a love of ships and aircraft. The lady is kind of tired of it. This is the second time I have been on the Missouri. The first time she was in service. The tour was well planned well and looked it was still in development. Compared to the North Carolina or Midway it could use more development. Then again the ship hasn’t been on display for very long. I haven’t been to the New Jersey, Wisconsin, or Iowa yet. The USS Massachusetts was a long time ago. If in Oahu it is very much worth it to pay homage to the Arizona and Missouri. The air museum is a good visit too. Granted I have worked and studied this stuff all my life. For the layman or historically less versed this will be an eye opener for what our country can do.
