Featuring a wide expanse of soft, white sand, Fort DeRussy Beach Park is a great place to relax and play. The generally calm waters are ideal for swimming and snorkeling. If you don't have a snorkel set but want to see the coast's collection of coral and colorful fish, rent one from a nearby beach hut. Bodyboards and kayaks are also available for rental. On shore, you can play a game of volleyball or unwind with a book in the grassy, shaded area. Cool down with a classic Hawaiian shaved ice from the stand outside the Hale Koa hotel. • Our driver said that this park will forever look like what Hawaii used to be before the tourists. As a state park these lands will not be developed further and that it will be the grassy paradise...  more »

  • EXCELLENT..EXCELLENT..EXCELLENT very clean and well kept.Nice walkways and Amazing trees plants and birds. Very well groomed area leading from the busy hotels and the hustle and bustle of everyday life to the barefoot tranquility of the Pacific ocean and its maintained beaches. Definitely a must see if you can , Waikiki can be a busy and loud place , this is the perfect unwind before hitting the beach 🌴
  • It's a beach in Hawaii, is there anything more that needs to be said? Seriously, though, it's a nice beach, there are bathrooms strategically located for convenience, and a few places along the path to grab food and drinks. We took part in the 2019 Na Koa Wounded Warrior Regatta, which is a an event recognizing the sacrifices our wounded warriors and Gold Star families have made and continue to make in behalf of our Nation. We had an amazing time competing, and took third in both of our races. Best of all, though, is our team, the Rowed Warriors, placed best out of the teams that represented our unit!
