Featuring a wide expanse of soft, white sand, Fort DeRussy Beach Park is a great place to relax and play. The generally calm waters are ideal for swimming and snorkeling. If you don't have a snorkel set but want to see the coast's collection of coral and colorful fish, rent one from a nearby beach hut. Bodyboards and kayaks are also available for rental. On shore, you can play a game of volleyball or unwind with a book in the grassy, shaded area. Cool down with a classic Hawaiian shaved ice from the stand outside the Hale Koa hotel. • We were at the hotel next to this park, we spent time here everyday. Beautiful trees, well groomed lawn, a great place to go for a walk.

  • Found it to be less crowded than Waikiki beach. The park has picnic benches and BBQ pits. And ample room to place your blankets out and take a nap or enjoy a good book. Its quiet and calm. Excellent stretch of beach to visit.
  • This park is great for a lot of reasons. My personal favorite being the sunset view. Also a great spot to watch the fireworks on Friday nights. Big grass area near by with lots of trees for some shade when you need a break from the sun.
