Nestled in the valley between Mt Hood and the Columbia River, it was once a sleepy town enjoyed by farmers and windsurfers. But times have changed, and fast. The town of Hood River is now known all over the Northwest for its incredible scenery, top notch restaurants and support of the athletic lifestyle. The pride of this town is one place that caters to all three. Not unlike Hood River, Indian Creek was for many years enjoyed by it's lucky locals and golf enthusiasts in the know. But the secret is out. Golf Digest gave Indian Creek Golf Course four stars as a Best Places To Play. Portland Business Journal placed Indian Creek at #6 for their Best Public Courses and Tournament Sites. Yet, you only have to ask the clubhouse barkeep why people drive from Portland because she hears it every day. "This course is in amazing shape."
This is by no means an accident. Tyson Jacobs, the club's GM and Superintendent knows that jaw dropping views of Mt. Hood and Mt. Adams don't hurt, Tyson appreciates that a great golf round requires an impressively manicured course. "In the end, the condition of the course is what brings the golfer back. This is where I like to focus my attention. It’s the cake"
Still, don't you dare miss the icing simply known as Divots. This clubhouse restaurant is a hot spot in the Hood River culinary scene. Divots stays rockin' year round. The chef is a New York transplant who knows great sandwiches. Gourmet salads, halibut fish & chips, homemade meatloaf, fat steaks and fresh pasta are all wolfed down with that spectacular Mt. Hood view. This all adds up to one great day trip. Golfers enjoy a round while friends and family, hike, bike, swim or enjoy some fabulous downtown shopping. Then the group meets at Divots to relax, dine and take in the scenery.
So there you have it….a great course, breathtaking views, delicious food…and yet there is one thing missing. Attitude. The staff and regulars you'll meet at Indian creek are the happiest and most welcoming you'll find. And really, why wouldn't they be?

One of the most challenging courses you will find anywhere. I truly appreciate the friendly staff and care the greens keeper takes. You can really see the pride they take. Would recommend to anyone...

Indian Creek golf course was in amazing shape. The crew does a wonderful job there. The staff is super friendly and it’s always a joy to go there to play. We even got the privilege of meeting the course designer today David Martin. We are already planning our next trip back there. Thanks to all the staff at Indian Creek golf course for making it such a wonderful day for us!

Over all had a really solid experience. The atmosphere of the golf course was really pretty. We were greeted right away and they secured us nice outdoor seating almost right away. They had a nice back patio area with heaters so it was very cozy. The menu had a good variety and it was hard to make a choice. As I wasn't super hungry I opted for a bowl of clam chowder. And boy was the portion size HUGE! The flavor and consistency were good, although the potato chunks could have been diced down a little smaller. I was also able to try my friends seafood radiator and it had great flavor along with large shrimp and crab. Next time I come I will for sure give it a try. The staff was friendly and on top of it and took plates away as needed along with keeping on top of refreshments. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting a nice relaxed dinner. I will for sure be back.
