Regional Military Museum, Houma

Awesome experience! It was very much worth the 3 hour drive from Alexandria to see! Don’t let the outside appearance fool you - there’s plenty of items to look and learn about from military history spread across two buildings! They have a nice collection of books in the gift shop that are very affordable and worth taking a look at! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful! I’ll definitely be back again!

Wonderful place! Entry price is very reasonable. I spent about an hour here and could have spent so much more time. The layout flows well from one conflict to the next. There are pictures, uniforms, vehicles, planes and just so much to look at, wander and explore. If you find yourself in the area, stop in. The employees will be more than happy to help you in any way you need, recommendations on other places to go in the area to do things and to eat at. Amazing.
