BBVA Compass Stadium, an AEG Facility, is a state-of-the-art, open-air stadium designed to host Houston Dynamo matches, Houston Dash matches, and Texas Southern University football games as well as additional professional, collegiate and community sporting events, concerts, exhibitions, conventions and special events. Opened on May 12, 2012, the 340,000-square foot, 22,000-seat stadium is the first soccer-specific stadium in Major League Soccer located in a city’s downtown district. We attended a Houston Dynamo vs Chicago Fire soccer game the other night at BBVA Stadium while staying at the Marriott Marquis in downtown Houston. Despite the weather delay, our kids enjoyed being a part of the rally tunnel to cheer on their favorite soccer players. Our seats were in section 228, and there really isn’t a bad seat in the house. I highly recommend experiencing a Houston Dynamo game. The fans are great, and the environment is family friendly. After the game, enjoy food and drinks at restaurants in the EADO area.

Nice stadium with good amenities and service. The Houston Dynamo are a great team to start with, but they do well making the games enjoyable with the halftime shows and other entertainment. I really hope more folks start coming to the games, as I feel like people don't realize what they're missing. Then again, as the Dynamo become more popular (I'm sure they will), that will probably raise ticket prices. I'll enjoy the current situation while it lasts!
