  • Very neat and historical place. Lots of great exhibits and things to see. The 747 with the space shuttle on top is awesome as it show just how big everything is. The NASA tour itself was nice but a little short and lacking on some of the great stuff like seeing the real control room where the Apollo program was run. I would have liked to see more actual current NASA work too. The Saturn V rocket is the coolest thing I have every seen. Huge! The films are informative. And you can touch a moon rock! Edit: Don't buy the $30 photos they offer. Opened the package and saw $1.95 worth of photos for $30.
  • Experiencing the history that has taken place here was amazing. It leaves you humbled and in awe of what has been accomplished in such a short time. It seems even more amazing when dealing with crowds and people that don't understand basic common courtesies. We are capable of great and horrible things at the same time. My daughter visited during the week and had a completely different experience (better) just because it was less crowded and was able to see more in less time. Do allow yourself plenty of time and if possible go during the week when it's less crowded.
  • Knowledge everywhere. If they had a place for camping, I might just put in a permanent tent. Everything they have is good and useful information. Kids friendly. Science shows is really good for the kids. Weekend gets pretty busy (I guess). Been once, will come back anytime if I had to choose from.
  • $29 to get in.... seems to be a bit much. I guess if you can stay there the whole day, see all the exhibits and ride the tram, then maybe that is a good deal. But for just 2.5 hours, not worth it as much. I didn't have much time and thought it closed an hour later than it did, so that was frustrating. The tram took longer than the 90-minutes they suggested which made me missed out on a couple other things. It was neat to see the Saturn Rocket and the Mission Control used for the Apollo Missions. There are some moon rocks but I didn't get much time before security gave me the boot as the place was closing. They even shutdown the gift shop when the museum closes, which I thought was odd because I wanted to buy some things. I guess they didn't want anymore of my money. I would hate to go there during the busy season/time, it wouldn't be worth it then. Also, the space shuttle Independence is a replica and never went into space. While it is cool to see, it is also a major let down when you find out it is not real.
  • Really enjoyed our trip to Space Center Houston. It was somewhat pricey, as you would expect, but not nearly as bad as I thought it would be. Even the meals inside were a pleasant surprise - a lot more variety than anticipated and also not nearly as expensive as I had prepared for. The attractions/displays themselves were very nice. There were four of us so we just got the family membership. I highly recommend this if you are planning on eating there and buying items from the gift store as it gives you 10% off everything. It also gives you priority boarding for the tram tour. This was a real time saver! We really enjoyed all the sights. My kids loved being able to touch a real moon rock and meteorite. There were also good interactive learning activities for the kids. Really makes you appreciate the astronauts. It also really got my kids excited about math and science. Highly recommend a visit here.
