Space Center Houston Reviews
How you can be in Houston have some free time and not coming here? Impossible. A must be. The control room is a great experience and will be a fantastic remembering more »
Much to see, much to do here. You can touch a moon rock and a piece of Mars, walk inside the 747 Shuttle transport and the Space Shuttle. There is so much to do it would take hours to fill out this re... more »
Very neat and historical place. Lots of great exhibits and things to see. The 747 with the space shuttle on top is awesome as it show just how big everything is. The NASA tour itself was nice but a little short and lacking on some of the great stuff like seeing the real control room where the Apollo program was run. I would have liked to see more actual current NASA work too. The Saturn V rocket is the coolest thing I have every seen. Huge! The films are informative. And you can touch a moon rock! Edit: Don't buy the $30 photos they offer. Opened the package and saw $1.95 worth of photos for $30.
Experiencing the history that has taken place here was amazing. It leaves you humbled and in awe of what has been accomplished in such a short time. It seems even more amazing when dealing with crowds and people that don't understand basic common courtesies. We are capable of great and horrible things at the same time. My daughter visited during the week and had a completely different experience (better) just because it was less crowded and was able to see more in less time. Do allow yourself plenty of time and if possible go during the week when it's less crowded.
