Grand Canyon Skywalk, Hualapai Reservation

#76 of 2,289 in Things to do in Arizona
Grand Canyon Skywalk--a transparent, horseshoe-shaped platform that extends over the edge of the Grand Canyon--is not for the faint of heart. Walk out and gaze down 1,000 m (3,500 ft) to see the Colorado River rushing below. This feat of modern engineering is part of the Hualapai Indian reservation; it was commissioned by and is owned by tribe. You must pay a fee to enter the reservation, plus an additional fee to go out on the platform. Personal items, including cameras, are not permitted on the Skywalk, but you can purchase a professional photograph of your visit from the gift shop. With our custom trip planner, Hualapai Reservation attractions like Grand Canyon Skywalk can be center stage of your vacation plans, and you can find out about other attractions like it, unlike it, near it, and miles away.

  • Came here first time six years ago with my son. Revisited here and felt $88 admission fee is kind of pricy, especially no camera allowed. Actually we took a photo for her and her husband at Eagle Poin...  more »
  • We rented a car and went to meet the place. Eh a full day ride with time shifting from Las Vegas from 2:30 (+ _) and with a beautiful road! In my opinion the experience was really worth it and it was amazing! Stepping on a glass platform and seeing the immensity of the Grand Canyon beneath you is too much!

  • Great place! Definitely worth a visit. Amazing views and it's an experience walking on the glass bottom floor. Remember you can't take your phones. There are photographers there who can capture your memories. The prices for the photos are reasonable. Remember to take a hat as it can get very hot out there. Try and go early to avoid the crowds.
  • The place was truly beautiful and the views was spectacular, I couldn't convince my wife to come on the Skywalk so I really couldn't give a true review but from the fear and smiles I saw on the faces of the ones that braved their fears only makes me want to go back again. Plenty of spots here to take some out of this world pictures like the ones you see in postcards or jigsaw puzzles.
