  • Great park. Clean and friendly staff. Lost my veterans card for the park and they replaced it in minutes. Will absolutely return!

  • End of March this place is stunning! Prairie Branch trail and Dogwood trail are green and beautiful. Alligators are keeping to themselves. Mosquitoes are few and far between. And the weather is perfection! Great place to sleep with your windows open to hear the birds singing. Park officials patrol the grounds often. Dogs are very welcome!
  • Very fun state park! The nature trails were beautiful though a bit confusing to follow at times. I feel the signs should be updated a bit. The fire pit and dining tables at the campsite was really well set however and the bathrooms were relatively clean with private showers at a good temperature and good water pressure. They also didn't have too much of a bug/raccoon problem. The place is very family friendly and alcohol is prohibited. I think it's a fun family place to visit, but if you want to get a bit loud or blast tunes, I'd choose a different spot because the campsites were pretty full and there are rangers constantly monitoring.
