The Statue itself is impressive, and can be seen both along the road and close up. There is also a small amphitheater with a replica of the head, a gift shop, and a visitor center.

The statue was gorgeous and the visitor fever was welcoming and helpful. Trails were well maintained. 5, 7, and 13 year old kids had a great time. Will definitely be going again

The Sam Houston Statue is well worth the visit. The visitor center is great and well stocked with plenty of souvenirs and information on not just the statue but Huntsville itself. After spending time in the visitor center you take a quiet short stroll to the statue itself. There are interesting things to see on your way to the statue, including a bust of Sam Houston's head and a cool little amphitheater. Once you make it to the statue itself, the statue is awe inspiring. I take my family there every year and we all still enjoy it.
